“Have a Blessed New Year”

          God has impressed upon my heart a few things concerning His Kingdom being established in us.  God is very meticulous about His children enjoying life on this earth by the very principles of His Kingdom.  In Luke 12:32, Jesus says, “Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom.”  It is our Heavenly Father’s delight that all of His children enjoy His Kingdom and enjoy life.

What is the Kingdom?

          Jesus commanded us to seek His Kingdom first and His righteousness and all these things shall follow us.  In Romans 14:17, we read, His Kingdom is “Righteousness, Peace and Joy in the Holy Ghost.”  Jesus taught us to pray, “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.”  Jesus wants His Kingdom to be established in our individual hearts for the earth to be filled with His will.  Our hearts must be filled with His righteousness, which is: free from guilt or sin, and morally right or justifiable arising from an outraged sense of justice or morality. A righteous man can be trusted to act honorably regardless of the circumstances.  Do we have a hunger and thirst for righteousness?  Jesus says in Matthew 5:6, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.”  It is essential to have an inner drive of desperation in our heart to be filled with righteousness.  It is the Father’s desire for us to have hearts of righteousness that we may enjoy life.  In the Amplified Bible we read, “Do not be seized with alarm and struck with fear, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom!”  It gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom -- are we ready for the Father’s desire?

          Let us be filled with the Peace of God, which is an integral part of the Kingdom.  There is no unrest in the Kingdom.  All the angels function in heaven according to God’s perfect plan and will.  When Jesus establishes His Kingdom in our heart, there must be Peace.  Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you, Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”  A believer must be filled with Peace -- a true sign of his trust in the Lord.  Jesus himself is the Prince of Peace to rule in our hearts and give us eternal peace (Isaiah 9:6).  God’s children are “peacemakers” and Jesus said, they shall be called “children of God” (Matthew 5:9).  If you are a true believer, PEACE is a must in your heart.

            How about Joy in the Holy Ghost?  If Jesus lives in our hearts, we are filled with His righteousness, peace and filled with His joy.  In John 14:17, 26  it reads, “Even the Spirit of truth whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him;

I won't argue with that. It's your opinion and you have your right to think so.

We are indeed the Kingdom of God. We have been assigned to build His Kingdom because we are His children. Being a child of the Lord is not an easy responsibility, but I must say that it is a very warm and lovely thing to know that He loves us even though we don't deserve it. I would like to thank the Lord for having me loved by Him. Wee should do whatever it is that He wants because we are His child.

This is so true! The Kingdom of God is in us and is living in our hearts. We were actually told by our pastor at church that we are God's Kingdom Builders. With this being said, we should set our lives as an example. The Kingdom of God is in us so we should not let the Lord feel sad about our actions and words. Thank you so much for this!
